Dealing with Infiltrators

Anonymous has recently been concerned with the question of dealing with infiltrators, both Scilons as well as this recent problem brought to our attention:

In one situation - I don't remember where the j00tube video is - where a shady guy was caught displaying a gun, a protestor quickly made a sign saying "This Man Has A Gun", Anon took pictures and the cops took it over from there. Apparently he walked over to the SCN side of the street after that.

This experience can lend us help with mitigating any possible threats: 1. Stay together during the protest. Watch each other's backs. This will prevent theft (of money or printed materials), pickpocketing (for money or cellphones or IDs) and allow fast response to a troublemaker, such as an agent provocateur.

2. Bring extra materials and LARGE MARKERS. Personally, I usually carry around a white shitajiki and dry erase for day-to-day signaling and presentations. For the protest, larger signs can be quickly modified with easel size sticky paper and magic markers. Or, cover the back of the sign with clear tape for dry erase. (Students, you can borrow Expo markers from campus, but don't steal them from teachers).

3. If you see a problem, stay calm, and REPORT visually. Try these signs: Violence/instigator "THIS PERSON IS NOT PART OF OUR PROTEST" Troublemaker "THIS PERSON IS NOT PART OF OUR GROUP" Confirmed OSA/CoS: above + "THIS PERSON WORKS FOR SCIENTOLOGY" and for internal signaling with smaller signs, "NOT ANON"

As long as you follow the principles and don't cause trouble, you won't be outed as "Not Anon". Make sure the sign is positioned so if Scilons try to take pictures or video of (fake) "Anon" throwing projectiles, the "Not Part of Protest" text will be clearly visible on any record and can't be "shopped" out. Get right behind them and hold the sign towards any onlookers.

I would also like to propose, as a way of recognizing Anon, to prominently display in a LARGE font an anti-scn URL such as www.xenu.net. This may not be nearly as appropriate for the April 12th protest, but works better to authenticate members because presumably, scilons will not want this URL to be spread around. If you already have an effective, visible on-message sign, that works even better.

Don't be paranoid, be prepared.
