Operation Spy vs. Sci
From AnonHouston
Operation Spy vs. Sci is Anonymous' sixth global protest effort and focuses on the spy-happy nature of the Church of Scientology. Their Office of Special Affairs is their FBI/CIA/NSA all rolled into one terribly powerful intelligence organization. The very happily resort to spying, trailing, and harassing their critics through the use of private investigators, legal harassment, and stalking. That is to say nothing of the extensive internal security efforts they employ against their own members to deter defection, contact with SPs, and information leaks.

[edit] Protest Details
WHERE: 2727 Fondren Rd, Houston, TX 77063
WHEN: 6PM July 12th, 2008
Directions
On Parking!: If you park at Hollywood Video during protest... chances are you will be a target for FAIR GAME. You _WILL_ be a target for Fair Game. The Scilons had multiple PIs and members taking pictures of every car in the parking lot there that time, and while some of us took pictures of the PIs and their cars (and will be identifying the PIs as soon as the plates are run), if YOUR plates get a picture taken of them, you're kinda screwed.
Park AWAY from the protest and walk a bit - it's good exercise and prevents Fair Game to some extent. At the end of the protest, Anons will be scanning for PI-lons, and any that attempt to follow you will have their pictures taken, and if need be, a police report will be filed. As two Anons have already been threatened with lethal violence for taking pictures of a PI at the last protest, it pays to keep the cops in the loop.
Do not walk through the Stein-Mart parking lot with your mask on. It apparently scares the elderly people who shop there. An anon was warned last time that police could be called (they should know what's up already, but let's not ruffle feathers unnecessarily). If you're parked on the edge, staying masked is fine.

[edit] Roll Call, Supplies, and Working Roles
Please edit here and put yourself down for what you are planning on bringing to the party. You don't need to be anal, but if you know you're bringing something cool like a boombox or megaphone, put it down. If you're bringing something that's not on the list, go ahead and add it too. Also, we need some people to handle various logistical things. Please edit to post other roles that are needed, as new pages, so details can be fleshed out.
Remember, if you need something on the day of the protest, it never hurts to ask, but don't rely on us for your needs.
