Sometimes being in a small group is better than a large mob.
During the event I attended on the 15th, another anon and I became separated from the main protest. While we attempted to find the rest of the group, we suddenly found that people were keenly interested in us. It was amazing and extremely productive - people even came up to us on their own to ask questions! The two of us later experimentally recreated the circumstances and recorded similar concentrations of win.
Findings: -Small groups are not intimidating like 100 weirdos dancing and singing -People in masks contrast more when everyone else around is normal -People we talked to were more engaged than people we talked to while in the large group, asked more questions of us, and were generally more affected by the materials -People were not afraid to approach us inquisitively and unprompted
Suggestion: Every two hours or so, protests should split into groups of 2-4 and wander the area for about 30 minutes. This may be risky in areas with high levels of CoS activity - should handlers appear, coalesce with nearby groups for safety.
